Cloyd White Conard, 94, of Decatur, IL, died 9:10 P.M., Monday, October 29, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, November 2, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 201 W. North, Decatur, IL 62522. Cloyd was born November 16, 1917, in Sullivan, IL, the son of Charles Earl and Eva (White) Conard. He married Helen J. McCune on March 12, 1939 in St. Charles, MO. She preceded him in death on October 8, 2011. Cloyd was a member of First United Methodist Church. He worked for Newman & Ullman as a salesman, and was an avid golfer and Cardinal fan. Cloyd was a member of Golden "K" and UCT. He is survived by his nephews Cloyd A. "Butch" Conard and wife Colette of Peoria, IL, Roger Lane and wife Mary of Dadeville, AL, Terry Conard and wife Marcia of Moorhead, MN; great niece Tamara Melaas and husband Mark of Rockton, IL; several great nieces and nephews; and sister Colleen Lane of Sullivan, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Helen, three brothers and one sister. The family would like to give a special thank you to his Pastors, Kent & Kathy King-Nobles and to his caregivers. "
