Clarence Dale Parks, 90, of Decatur, passed away at 1:22 P.M. on Saturday (May 26, 2012), in his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday (May 30, 2012) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Military rites will be conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to: Prairie Avenue Christian Church. Dale was born on December 21, 1921, in Cerro Gordo, IL., the son of Earl and Arminda Mabel (Nance) Parks. He retired from A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. and was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church. He participated in sports at Lovington High School and was a pitcher for Van Horn Hybrid Seed Corn softball team for years 1945-1951. He was a fan of St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears. He is survived by his sister, Bessie Parks of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Clyde, Charlie, Lester, Vern, Floyd, George, Cloid, Jesse and Albert, sisters: Freda, Velma, and Juanita. "
