Claranna “Tillie” Schafle, 96, of Decatur, IL., passed away at 8:15 A.M. on Tuesday (10-04-2016).Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday (10-12-2016) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home Decatur, IL. with visitation one hour prior to service times. Entombment will be held at the Star of Hope Mausoleum, Decatur, IL.Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL.Claranna was born on April 18, 1920 in Pana, IL. the daughter of Maurice and Anna Marie McKittrick. She married Paul Leland Schafle on July 7, 1940 in Pana, IL.Claranna was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL. She loved traveling, dancing, socializing at the senior center and spending time with friends. The family would like to thank family and friends for all the kindness shown to “Tillie”.She is survived by her daughter: Janet Bastob and husband Robert of The Villages, FL.; one grandson: Brian Bastob (U.S. Coast Guard) and wife Marta of New Orleans, LA.; two sisters: Ruby Hughes of Logansville, GA. and Helen Romine and husband George of Pana, IL.; and leaves many nieces and nephews.Tillie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Robert and Troy McKittrick and three sisters: Hilda Kasky, Nita Quesnel, and Bonnie Cowlishaw.
