Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M., Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Niantic United Methodist Church, Niantic, IL, with visitation from 1:00 P.M. - 2:30 P.M., before service time at the church. Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery, Niantic, IL. Memorials may be made to Niantic United Methodist Church, Sangamon Valley Harristown Elementary Library, Illiopolis-Niantic Public Library District, or Donors Choice.Clara was born April 30, 1913, in Bloomington, IL, the daughter of Albert and Frieda (Wieland) West. She married Ivan R. Eastman on August 23, 1931 in Carlock, IL, and together they raised 5 children. Ivan preceded her in death on January 28, 2004.Our Mother was fond of nature and gardening was one of her many passions. In the garden she found comfort in the Lord and his beautiful gifts. Clara was an avid reader and her faith was strong.
