Clara Cagle

Clara Evelyn "Grandmam" Cagle, 95, of Decatur, died at 4:55 AM, Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Lincoln Rehabilitation in Decatur. Funeral service will be 1:30 PM, Friday, May 4, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Family will meet with friends one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorials: Donor's choice. Clara was born September 11, 1916 in Chestnut, IL, the daughter of Frank and Ella Marie (Potter) Schober. She married Clarence Cagle on July 21, 1934 in Champaign, IL. He preceded her in death Sept 24, 1987. Clara worked for the Lord everyday and was a member of Life Foursquare Church. She was a homemaker in her own home, an avid Cub Fan and enjoyed Illini Basketball and embroidery. She most loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind three daughters: Carol Roarick Kelley and husband Charles of Pamona, CA, Nancy Costello of Decatur, Pat Lourash and husband Benny of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding in death are her parents, husband Clarence and her daughter Linda. The family would like to express special thanks, to Dr. G.
