Christopher John Shirley, 29, of Decatur, IL, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2014, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, at the funeral home. Christopher was born September 8, 1985 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Stephen A. and Julie A. (Spets) Shirley. He attended Richland Community College and was the manager for 3 years at the Smokers Den. Christopher enjoyed watching old movies and loved listening to records. He is survived by his father and mother, Stephen and Julie Shirley of Decatur, IL; brother Matthew Shirley and wife Melinda, and his nephew Alex, all of Kewanee, IL; sister Lindsey Little and husband Benjamin of Manhattan, KS; and maternal grandparents John and Beverly Spets of Kewanee, IL. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents. "
