Cheryl J. Shipley, 77, of Bath, IL, formerly of Boody, IL, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 1:00 PM also at the funeral home. The burial will be at Boiling Springs Cemetery in Decatur, IL.

Cheryl was born March 7, 1948, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of John and Rosemary (Janvrin) Wickline. She married Jerry Worrell in Decatur, IL, on June 8, 1968, and was with him until his passing. On April 3, 1995, she married Warren Shipley in Florida and stayed by his side until his own passing.

Cheryl spent her working life in the medical field and specialized in pulmonary function. She enjoyed hosting campgrounds at Sangchris State Park. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and beloved cat Caly.

Surviving are her children, Debbie (Neal) McDowell of Bath, IL, Kathy (Ron Ahlers) Gatons of Ashland, IL, Matt (Julia) Shipley of Ballwin, MO, Darrin Shipley of Ballwin, MO, Stephanie (Mike) Brady of New Mexico; siblings John (Connie) Wickline, Russell (Cindy) Wickline, Bernadine (Rodney) Berry, Lori Price, Diana Wickline; as well as 13 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Preceding Cheryl in death are her parents, husbands, and one grandson.
