Cheryl Jean “Jeanie” Morrison, 59, of Hammond passed away March 11, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jeanie’s honor may be directed to the American Cancer Society.Jeanie was born September 20, 1957 in Decatur, the daughter of Charles Wilson and Grace B. (Marsh) Hurley. She married James M. Morrison on May 29, 1976 in Maroa.She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James M. Morrison. Also surviving are her 2 sons, James Charles Morrison of LaPlace and Joshua Leroy Morrison and wife Rebecca of Salt Lake City, UT; siblings Linda Beltz of Decatur, Monty (Debbie) Hurley of Douglasville, GA, Marsha (Lorn) Groves of Shelbyville, Dion Hurley (Jane Weaver), and Michael Hurley, both of DecaturJeanie was preceded in death by her parents.
