Charlotte Smith

A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park, with military rites will be conducted by Macon County Honor Guard.Memorials have been suggested to American Heart Association. Charlotte was born January 12, 1937 in Decatur, IL. She married Robert G. Smith January 12, 1968 in Decatur and he survives.She served in the U. S. Army in 1956. She was also a homemaker in her own home.Surviving are three sons, Paul Hayes of Decatur; Herbert and wife Debbie Stubbs of Decatur; Charles R. and wife Sara Smith of Decatur; one daughter Bobbie I. Moore of Decatur; four step-children Kathy and husband Alan Kuntz of Mt. Vernon, Iowa; June Milby of Cambellville, KY; Erma Conner of Hillsboro, IL; Cheryl Smith of Iowa; one brother Charles Smart of Seekonk, Mass.; two sisters Elizabeth Betty Monroe of Decatur; Sharon Smart of Decatur and other brothers and sisters; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and 22 step great-grandchildren.Charlotte has been preceded in death by both parents, daughter Melody Dove, one granddaughter; Sebrina; one step-grandson Anthony, and one brother Robertr E.
