Charlotte J. Holderby, 83, of Decatur, IL, died 10:50 A.M., Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Lincoln Rehabilitation Center, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 16, at Owaneco Cemetery, Owaneco, IL. Memorials may be made to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter, 1720 Huston Drive, Decatur, IL 62526. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Charlotte was born September 4, 1928 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Pifer) Roney. She married Leonard F. Reynolds in Decatur, IL. She later married Charles "Chuck" Holderby in 1964 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death in 1977. Charlotte worked as a clerk at Eldorado Bowl for over forty years. She was a talented artist, enjoyed gardening, being outdoors and loved animals. She took great pleasure in feeding the birds and any stray animal that showed up. She is survived by her daughters Sandra J. Carnahan and husband James of Livermore, CA, Barbara A. Carnahan and husband Al of Decatur, IL, Susan K. Hammond and husband Mark of Litchfield, IL; 6 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren; sister Alice Roach of Mt. Zion, IL.
