Charlotte Crooks

Charlotte Sue Crooks, 73, of La Place, IL, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at Generations at McKinley Court. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, at her home. Her children would like to extend an open invitation to all family and friends. Memorials may be made to: Cancer Care Center of Decatur. Charlotte was born April 5, 1946, in McLeansboro, IL, daughter of Edward William and Almeda B. (Hulett) Hill. Charlotte worked several years and retired from Mueller Co. She lived life to the fullest with a great sense of humor. Charlotte enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. She is survived by her children: Jeff (Kris) Morris of Olivet, MI, Jamie (Ronald Wilhour) Morris of Decatur, IL, Sonya Book of Fairfield, IL, and Shannon Morris of Grayville, IL; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brothers: Kenny (Anita) Hill of Decatur, IL, Larry “Mick” (Linda) Hill of Evansville, IN, and Greg (Tammi) Hill of Decatur, IL; and her very best friend Herbert Stearns, Jr. of Decatur, IL. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Eugene, Eddie, and Don. "
