Charlesetta W. Webster, 76, of Decatur, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on November 7, 2024.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur.  Private family services will be held. Charlesetta was born March 29, 1948 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of Charles and Marjorie (Hudson) Robinson.  She married David Webster on September 19, 1989 in Springfield.  Charlesetta had a degree and background in culinary arts which she enjoyed very much. Charlesetta was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing and caring for houseplants. She and David enjoyed being in nature, watching eagles on the Mississippi River and they took several paddleboat cruises up and down the Mississippi. She was a Glacier’s Edge Master Naturalist and loved volunteering at Scovill Zoo in Decatur where she cared for the eagles, owls, hawks, and vultures for over 35 years.  Charlesetta also loved watching her favorite TV shows and was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and her “Mahomie” Patrick Mahomes.  But, most of all, she treasured time spent with her family, especially attending cross country and track meets for her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 35 years, David; daughter, Jaimie Kennedy of Decatur and her children: Dominic, Brodie and Tryston;  son, Charles (Brooke) Hammons of Decatur and his children: Adrianna, Chelsea and Sierra; son, Roland (Jackie) Hammons of Heyworth and his children: Basilia, Atlas, Nora, Raylin and Matthew; and daughter, Shellie Hammons of Phoenix, AZ and her children: Douglas and Armond; and a sister, Carol (Schuyler) Robinson of Lake City, AZ.

Charlesetta was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patricia Robinson
