Charles White, 82, of Sullivan, formerly of Decatur, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on December 23, 2016.Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Sullivan Senior Center.Charlie is survived by his daughter Lisa (Dennis) Morse of Sullivan, his grandchildren Dustin (Neelie) and Lucas Morse of Shelbyville, great grandson Jack, sisters Judi Wood and Melodie Steed of Tulsa, OK, nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, wife Diane (Thevenot) White, and son Timothy White.Charlie loved carpentry and worked as a general and finish carpenter for 40+ years, until he was forced to stop due to health problems. He enjoyed gardening and cooking, but mostly watching his grandsons grow up into fine young men. Charlie was always there to help his family and friends with carpentry projects or whatever else they needed. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy, and a member of Carpenters Local #742.
