Charles E. "Scotty" Scott, 89, of Decatur, died Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the Illinois Veteran's Home, Quincy, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Monday, January 21, at the funeral home, with masonic rites conducted by the South Macon Masonic Lodge #467 AF&AM at 5:30 P.M. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery, Macon, IL, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veteran's Home, Quincy, Illinois. Mr. Scott was born September 24, 1923, in Decatur, the son of James W. and Nettie Faye (Troutman) Scott, Sr. He married Marjorie L. Marshall in Decatur on May 8, 1943. She preceded him in death on April 26, 1994. Mr. Scott owned and operated Scott's Delivery for twenty years, until his retirement in 1973. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII and Korea. He was also a member of VFW Post #99 and the South Macon Masonic Lodge #467 AF&AM. Mr. Scott is survived by his son Terry L. Scott and wife Mary Ann of Macon; daughters Linda Hedges of Springfield and Theresa Morey and husband Charles Mac of Macon; grandchildren Scott Patrick Hedges and wife Melissa, Tara Juliene Scott, Samantha Lynn Benson and husband Ryan, James William Scott, and Tiffany Michelle Morey; great grandchildren Taylor K. Hedges, Katelyn Fischer, Samantha Fischer, and Braden M. Benson. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Alice, and brother James. . "
