Charles W. Reeves, 81, of Decatur, IL, died 8:35 A.M., Friday, November 12, 2010, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday (11-16-2010) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Military Rites will be conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.Arrangements are being handled by Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church or The Boy Scouts of America.Charles was born in Decatur on September 9, 1929, the son of Earl and Bessie M. Gaddis Reeves. He married Lois E. Moore in Macon on September 14, 1952. She preceded him in death on November 8, 1999.Charles was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Korean War, receiving the Commendation Ribbon for meritorious service. Charles was a volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years, serving as a Cub master and Scoutmaster, receiving the Silver Beaver Award. He retired from Illinois Power Company after 43 years as a Jr. Accountant.He is survived by his daughter Donna J. Reeves Wagner and husband John of Kearns, Utah; sons David A. Reeves and wife Karen of Decatur, Dale A. Reeves and wife Lisa of Roscoe; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Lois. "
