Charles Pratt

Charles Earl Pratt, 82, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, in his home with family by his side. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, August 2, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at IOOF Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL. Charles was born April 17, 1933 in Tateville, KY, the son of James Lee and Flossie (Bray) Pratt. He married Betty Carter on May 17, 1952. She preceded him in death. Surviving are his children: Patricia "Patti" Blair of Effingham, IL, Dennis (Brenda) Pratt of Decatur, IL, Susan (Andrew) Roberts of Sullivan, IL, Eddy (Vivian) Pratt of Oakley, IL, Fredy (Barbara) Pratt of Naples, FL; grandchildren: Nathan (Sharon) Blair, Natasha (Mai) Nunag, Jermey (Amber) Pratt, Justin (Xiu) Pratt, Carissa Roberts, Sasha (Austin) Roberts, Alexis Pratt, Sierra and Savanah Weaber; great-grandchildren: Bryce Pratt, Alina Blair, Matthew Nunag; sister: Margaret Gibbons of Sullivan, IL; and long time friend: Bob Rogers of Kincaid, IL. Charles owned and operated Pratt Trucking and was a member of Teamsters #279. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, son Charles Eugene, and brothers Luther, Tom, and Wesley. The family wishes to thank the DMH nurses and Palliative Care for the loving care given to Charles. "
