Charles Marion Condiff, 82, of Oreana, IL, passed away 11:57 a.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Fair Havens Christian Home, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 21, 2015, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, September 20, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene or Fair Havens Christian Home. Charles was born September 12, 1933, in Herrick, IL, the son of Charles Walter and Cordelia B. (Austin) Condiff. He married Oma Marie Allison on October 11, 1957 in Decatur, IL. Charles worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 33 years. He loved going to Mike Halls Auction and going to McDonald's at the Pilot for breakfast with his friends. Charles never met a stranger. He was affiliated with the First Church of the Nazarene. Charles served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Oma; son Dennis Alan (Debbie) Condiff of Decatur, IL; Dennis's step-sons Donnie (Manuel) Gabhart, Bill Markham and grandson Dillan Markham; son Charles Kevin (Diana) Condiff of Virginia; grandson Charles Andrew (Bethany) Condiff of Virginia; great grandchildren Abigail and Charlie Condiff of Virginia; sisters Ruby Condiff of Decatur, IL, Doris Lee of Wisconsin, Fern (Bill) Patton of Sullivan; brothers Carl (Sue) Condiff, Kenneth (Shirley) Condiff, all of Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents. The family would like to give thanks to Fair Havens Nursing staff, Safe Haven Hospice, and special thanks to neighbors Gary and Diane Hicks for all their care and compassion given to Charles. "
