Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 16, 2009, at the Mt. Zion Assembly of God Church, 634 Woodlawn Drive, Mt. Zion, Illinois, with visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at the church, then from 9:00 AM Friday until service time. Burial will be Cross Cemetery, Oakley, Illinois. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials: Mt. Zion Assembly of God Church 634 Woodland Drive, Mt. Zion, IL 62549 Chuck was born on November 8, 1958 in Mattoon, Illinois, to Charlie Lamar and Norma Carolyn Myers Brown. He married his wife, Faith Elizabeth (Vaughn) on July 16, 1988, in Oakland, Illinois. Their son, Matthew Brown was born on April 6, 1991. Chuck worked for the Decatur Public Library for 13 years, driving the librarys Bookmobiles to their various locations in the Decatur area. He then partnered with his good friend, Steve Simmons, with a muzzle-loading shop, The Fort Daniels Trading Post for 10 years. He enjoyed hunting, baseball (Go Cubs, Go!), John Wayne films, knife collecting, and going to gun shows. He loved Jesus and couldnt wait to be raptured someday, to be with his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his wife of 21 years: Faith; his son: Matthew Charles Brown, of Oakley; and parents: Charlie L. And Norma Carolyn Brown of Decatur.
