Charles Ankrom

Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Cerro Gordo Cemetery.Memorials: Cerro Gordo Fire Department or Cerro Gordo Ambulance.Charlie was born November 15, 1941 in Argenta, IL, the son of Ralph and Irene (Griswold) Ankrom. He was a boiler maker at Kopetz MFG for 24 years, retiring in 2002. Charlie also served for many years as a volunteer firefighter for the Cerro Gordo Fire Department. Charlie had a passion and love for restoring and collecting Cub Cadet Tractors, was a big fan of NASCAR and always enjoyed watching the trains and traffic come through.Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Karen Ankrom; brother, Louis Skip Ankrom.Charlie leaves behind many friends and loved ones.
