Catherine M. Ramsey, 84, of Decatur, IL, died 11:50 A.M., Monday, September 22, 2008, at her residence.Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 25, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, September 24, 2008, and one hour prior to service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hubbartt Cemetery in Beecher City, IL.Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Love at First Sight or Salvation Army.Catherine was born October 10, 1923, in Beecher City, IL, the daughter of Glenn Henry and Dortha (Dinwiddie) Hunt. She married Henry Clay Ramsey on October 27, 1943, in Effingham, IL. He preceded her in death in 2000.Catherine enjoyed her grandchildren and great granchildren very much.She is survived by her son Robert Clay Ramsey of Shelbyville, IL; daughter Judy Kay Perkins and husband Bill of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Timothy J. Perkins of Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri and Christina M. Perkins of Illiopolis, IL; great grandchildren Devon and David of Decatur, IL, Nicholos of Illiopolis, IL; sister Nellie Jones and husband Merl of Decatur, IL.She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and one sister.The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Goetter and staff, the Hospice unit at DMH and a special thanks to Barbara and Larry, Emily, Sandy and Virginia.
