Carolyn Jeanette Franklin, 87, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Decatur, Illinois, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Keller Cemetery, Lovington, IL. Memorials in Carolyn's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Jeanette was born on August 7, 1935 in Assumption, Illinois, daughter of Levi and Emma Edith (Hicks) Lewellyn. She married John Porter Franklin September 23, 1955 in Assumption, Illinois.
Jeanette and John celebrated 67 years of marriage. They owned and operated Skyway Motors for many years before retiring to Florida.
Surviving are her daughter Jeanie Humphreys, Palm Coast, FL; grandson Michael (Bianca) Humphreys, St Louis, MO; granddaughter Nicole (Kevin) Proctor, Ft Campbell, KY; step- granddaughter Kellisa (Aaron) Fiala St Louis MO; great-grandchildren Norah Humphreys; Caleb, Maddie, Ethan Proctor; Ben, Rosalie Fiala; and three sisters Connie Adams, Taylorville, IL, Linda Ruff, Houston, TX, Donna Royer, Assumption, IL
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son Jerry L Franklin; one brother and one sister.
