Carolyn Ann England, 73, of Decatur Illinois, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Sunrise Center of Chesterfield, Chesterfield, Missouri.A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, Illinois with the funeral service immediately following. There will be a memorial luncheon held at the Decatur Club after the service, all family and friends are encouraged to attend to celebrate the life of this special lady. Private burials of her ashes are planned in both Decatur, alongside her husband, Charles and in Florida on the beach that she loved so much.Carol was born June 16, 1944, in Decatur Illinois, the daughter of Arthur Cecil and Elizabeth (Marquis) Hoyt. She married Charles Edward England II and he preceded her in death on January 27th, 1986.She was very active in her community. She loved the beach, music, dogs, art, and helping senior citizens. She was a homemaker and worked in accounting for Hazelrigg's for many happy years.She is survived by her children Christy (England) Spilberg of Kirkwood, Missouri and Valerie England of Skokie; father-in -law Leland Stanford England, Jr of Forsyth; aunt Marilyn Tallman of Bonita Springs, Florida; brothers-in-law David (Linda) England of Mt Zion and Phillip (Sandra) England of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; sister Betty Keithley of Bloomington; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephewsShe was preceded in death by her husband, mother-in-law Rachel Courtney England, parents, and nephew Douglas Keithley.We would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Sunrise Center of Chesterfield, Compassionate Nursing Services, and BJC Hospice for their loving care of our mother.She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered for her spunky, unique spirit and tremendously large, giving heart.
