Carolyn Albro

Carolyn E. Albro, 71, of Cerro Gordo, peacefully entered heaven Monday, September 25, 2017. She was surrounded by her family and the prayers of many loved ones.Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Wednesday, September 27 at Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the church. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family.Memorials may be made to Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church, where she was a member for 51 years.Carolyn was born July 24, 1946, in Decatur. She was the daughter of Richard and Maxine (Whitney) Barnett. She married Stephen Albro at the Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church on April 17, 1966. Carolyn loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She made all the holidays extra special with her love for decorating. After raising her children, she worked for Dr. Shackelford and Cerro Gordo Schools.Carolyn is survived by her husband, Stephen of Cerro Gordo; daughters, Lisa Lovekamp (Terry) of Forsyth, IL, Lori Toomey (Jay) of Carmel, IN, and Leeann Hissong (Brandon) of Monticello, IL; grandchildren, Rachel Yarborough (Zach), Nathan Lovekamp, Lucas Lovekamp, Anna Lovekamp, Erica Toomey, Emma Toomey, Erin Toomey, Sarah Hissong, and Hannah Hissong; sisters, Pat Graven and Dorothy Jackson (Tom); brothers, Bill Barnett (Becky) and George Barnett.She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bob Barnett.
