Caroline Williams

Caroline Elizabeth (Adams) Williams, 90, of Long Creek, IL, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to SAI (Sigma Alpha Iota). Caroline was born June 1, 1925 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Delmar and Georgia May (Glazebrook) Adams. She married Roger James Williams on March 28, 1959 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1996. Caroline attended The Juilliard School of Music and received her Master's of Voice at Millikin University. She retired in 1983 after many years as a music teacher. Caroline loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, reading books, singing, traveling, and spending time with family. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her children David Williams of Decatur and Carol Ann Peters and husband Chris of Long Creek, IL; grandchildren Lori Mize and husband Ben of Decatur, Chelsea Peters of Long Creek, IL, Emily Williams of Decatur; great grandchildren Hayden Mize of Decatur, Adelyn and Brooklyn Peters, both of Long Creek, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger, brother Raymond Adams, sister Catherine Grandfield. "
