Carol Sue Seidenstricker, 78, of Effingham, IL, passed away on February 19, 2025.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday, February 28, 2025 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 1, 2025, with a short visitation at the church from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Decatur, IL. Interment will be at West Frantz Cemetery in Oakley, IL.

Carol was born August 23, 1946, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Russell Ernest and Elinor Catherine (Brown) Hamm. She married Michael Roy Seidenstricker on May 20, 1972 in Oakley, IL.

She worked as a teacher’s aide, bookstore manager, CNA at Laclede Groves Nursing Home and was the director of spiritual nurture and founding member of the CWRF.

Carol is survived by her husband, Michael; children, Clinton (Rebecca) Seidenstricker, Jason (fiancée Kellie) Seidenstricker; grandchildren Riley (fiancée Regan), Aidan, Logan; and sisters Shirley Clarkson, Kathy Gentry, Judy Earl.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Sonna and brother David.
