Carol Ann Reynolds, 69, of Decatur, IL, passed away February 7, 2024, surrounded by her family, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Illiopolis, IL.
Memorials in Carol’s honor may be made to: National Association for Down Syndrome.
Carol was born August 3, 1954, in Monticello, IL, the daughter of Morris and Lena (McGreevy) Copeland. She graduated from Cerro Gordo High School in the class of 1972. Carol married Lon Reynolds on August 17, 1974, in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2021.
Carol worked for 10 years for Macon Resources and 13 years for Dekalb Poultry. She enjoyed going to garage sales and loved collecting cow memorabilia. Carol especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Carol will be remembered fondly for her loving and caring personality and was always willing to help anyone.
Carol is survived by her sons: Matt (Pam) Reynolds of Decatur, and Geno Reynolds of Decatur; step daughters: Julie (Rodney) Ginger of Niantic, April Richardson of Mechanisburg, IL, and Penny (Jimmy) Koonce of Bulpitt; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; siblings: Morris “Butch (Connie) Copeland of Decatur, and Desley Greenwood of Australia; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dear friends: Rich and Cindy O’Dear and Jess and Sharon Rogers.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 46 years, Lon; grandson, Little Rodney; and great granddaughter, Haley; brothers-in-law: Larry Reynolds and Don Reynolds.
