Carol Minott

Carol DeAnne Minott, 52, of Clinton, IL, passed away at 7:43 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Westside Cemetery, Moweaqua, IL. Memorials may be made to Hawthorne Inn Activity Fund. Carol was born December 21, 1959, in Decatur, the daughter of Robert and Fern Joan (Gillespey) Minott. Carol was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Decatur. She worked as a CNA for St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur for 25 years then at Hawthorne Inn in Clinton for 2 years, and was very caring of the elderly. Carol also had a love for animals. Surviving are her mother Fern; sisters Janet (Larry) Alred, and Cheryl Slifer; brother R. Brian (Joanni) Minott, all of Decatur; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat "Walter". Carol was preceded in death by her father Robert and brother John D. Minott. Carol dedicated her life to caring for others as a CNA for hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. "
