Carol Leeper

Carol Anne Breeden Leeper, 73, of Niantic, IL, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 23, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from 5-7 pm Friday, June 22, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Berea Cemetery, Mt. Auburn, IL. Memorials in Carol’s honor may be given to American Diabetes Association.Carol was born on May 19, 1945, in Effingham, IL, daughter of Lewis and Pauline Breeden. She married Charles “Ike” Leeper on August 3, 1968. Throughout their nearly 50 year marriage, Carol was a full time homemaker. Her greatest joy was her family, and she loved them well. She cared for many children in her home as a childcare provider. She later worked for the Irving Post Office part time for 15 years.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Stephen and niece Anne.Carol will be missed and mourned by her husband; son John Leeper of Edinburgh, IL; daughter Rebecca Steele and husband Jeff of Illiopolis, IL; daughter Christine Hamby and husband Brant of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren Drake, Sarah, Brock, Claire, Paige, Isaak, and Ava; great-grandchildren Troy and Nova; sister Susan Askew, other family members and friends.
