Carol Louise Durbin, 77, of Cerro Gordo, IL passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, IL.Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. The family requests casual attire. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, will be assisting the family with arrangements.Carol was born June 4, 1941, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Walley) Albert. She married Larry Durbin on January 9, 1960 in Decatur.Carol worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Wagner Castings, and then retired from Intermet as a computer programmer. She was an avid reader, with her favorite author being Nora Roberts.She is survived by her husband Larry of 58 years; daughter Jody Landrus of Decatur; grandchildren Michael Tuttle of Cerro Gordo, Jenna (Matt) Hall of Cookville, TN; great grandchildren Tatum, Bentley and Charlie Hall; siblings Phillip Albert of Decatur and Beverly Spitzer, both of Decatur, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Barbara Qualls.
