Carol Douglass

Carol F. Douglass, 65, of Decatur, IL, passed away on December 25, 2012. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. Carol was born February 25, 1947 in Taylorville, IL. She married Billy D. Douglass on July 18, 1971 in Morrisonville, IL. Carol was a great cook who enjoyed sewing and making various crafts. She liked to sing and played a number of musical instruments. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Billy of Decatur; children Shawn (Tamara) Douglass of Honolulu, Hawaii, Amanda (Jeremy) Coulter of Decatur, Illinois, Timothy Douglass of Graham, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Ethyl Kent and her infant grandson Benjamin Coulter. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Muhammad Khan, Dr. Stephen Goetter, Dr. James Wade, and the nurses and staff at Decatur Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion given to Carol.
