Carol Anne Delaney, 72, of Forsyth, IL, died Monday, October 31, 2011, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M., Friday, November 4, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Illiopolis, IL. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Carol was born November 15, 1938 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of Mack and Leila Mae (Gray) Jackman. She married James S. Delaney on January 2, 1960 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Niantic, IL. Carol was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was very dedicated to her profession as a Registered Nurse, working for Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 17 years, before retiring in 2001. She attended Nursing School at Decatur Macon County School of Nursing and was a member of Decatur Memorial Hospital Alumni Association, All States Club and Beta Sigma Phi. Carol was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jim of Forsyth, IL; children Michael S. Delaney and wife Jackie of Lees Summit, MO, Kristin C. Maurer and husband Greg of Lawrence, KS, Suzanne M. Delaney and fiance' Matthew T. Neff of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Matthew Delaney, Ethan Delaney, and Garrett Maurer; sister Janet Bogenpohl of Union, MO; brothers Dennis Jackman and wife Irene of Lawrenceville, IL, Jon Jackman and wife Cindy of Carbondale, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents. "
