Carl Lahme

Carl J. “Joe” Lahme, 84, of Decatur, IL. passed away at 9:00 P.M. on Friday November 13, 2020, in Prairie Creek Village, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery, Mt. Zion, IL. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Carl was born on November 26, 1934 in Decatur, Illinois the son of Carl Francis Lahme and Marcella Ann (Dwyer) Lahme. He married Beverly Jean Vowell on September 10, 1983 in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2020. Carl was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He worked as a Sales Associate at Walgreens. Carl loved to watch baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal’s fan. He is survived by his three grandchildren: Steve Lee Davis and wife Barbara Elizabeth of Paducah, KY., Brian Keith Davis and wife Rebecca Jean of Paducah, KY., and Jessica Marie Kupiec and husband Brian Douglas of Dalton City, IL.; seven great-grandchildren: Briana, Bradley, Rilee, Chayse, Wyatt, Ivree, and Toby; and one great-great-grandchild Aiden. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Bev.
