Carl Hill

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, where family will meet with friends one hour prior to services. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to First Lutheran Church or to Ansar Shrine.Carl was born July 19, 1910, in Decatur, the son of Charles A. and Agusta (Gendry) Hill. On August 12, 1938, he married Maude Carrol. He worked as a foreman at Mueller Co. where he was employeed for 45 plus years. Carl was a member of First Lutheran Church, Stephen Decatur #979 Masonic Lodge, Lodge Council Chapter Consistory, 50 year member of Ansar Shrine, and member of the Elks Club.Carl is survived by one sister, Ruth Grossman of Decatur, and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maude; four brothers; and three sisters.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
