Carl Bird

Carl L. Bird, 76, of Warrensburg, IL, passed away Monday, November 2, 2020, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be Friday, November 6, 2020, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Private family graveside services will be at Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL. Memorials may be made to Decatur Youth Bowling Program. Carl was born December 14, 1943, in Decatur, IL, the son of Everett Edel and Anna Maud (Streich) Bird. He married Rebecca “Becky” Alyce Pfeifer on June 6, 1964 in Decatur, IL. Carl was a farmer for 60 years. He was a member of the U.S.B.C., and bowled in the N. and W. Fellowship and Building Trade League. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Becky of Warrensburg; children Scott Allen Bird (Paula Pope) of Warrensburg, and Chandra Lee Jones of Decatur; grandchildren Taylor M. Bird of Warrensburg, Alyssa D. Bird of Decatur, Kaitlyn N. Jones of Decatur, Justin T. Jones of Decatur; sister-in-law Arlene Bird of Warrensburg; sister-in-law Cassandra Welborn (Michael) of Orlando, FL; one niece, one nephew, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Bird, grandsons Ian Bird and Lane Bird.
