Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements.Dean was born January 18, 1926, in Louisville, IL, the son of Leonard and Rena (Kenley) DeVore. He joined Staley Credit Union in 1956. In 1980 he became President & Treasurer, retiring from the Credit Union in 1987. Dean was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea, a member of Golden K Kiwanis, a volunteer at the YMCA and was a math tutor to students to help them achieve their GED. He was an avid gardener, loved playing cards, and was a fun loving guy.Dean is survived by his daughter Cindy (DeVore) and husband Philip Loughman of Loveland, CO; son R. Tim DeVore and wife Ellen of Greenwood, AR; grandchildren Cole Clements, Nick DeVore, Megan Loughman, Amy Wood; great grandson Mason DeVore; sister Leah Wattles of Effingham, IL; former spouse Jacque Grove of Mission, TX; and loving friend Mary Kincaid.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Deon DeVore and sister Kathern Kidwell.
