C. Roger Bailey, 80, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 4:25 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2011, in his home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 11:30 a.m. until service time, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur. Roger was born October 20, 1931, in Decatur, the son of Wilmer Ray and Ora Pearl (Waddell) Bailey. He married Barbara Britton on May 5, 1956, in Decatur at the Water Street Church of Christ. Roger served his country with the U.S. Army Signal Corps, and was stationed in Germany. He was a 32 year employee of Caterpillar Tractor Co., working in the scheduling and purchasing departments, retiring in 1987. Roger enjoyed family camping trips, especially in Colorado, and vacationing with family in Scottsdale, Arizona. Roger and Barbara attended several churches over the years, most recently at Maranatha Assembly of God. Surviving are his wife Barbara of Decatur; daughters Susan Penny of Logan, OH, and Lisa "Leese" Lockmiller of Nashville, TN; grandson Christopher Bailey of Pompano Beach, FL, who they helped raise; great-granddaughter Onnalysa Bailey of Decatur, IL; and sister Mrs. Ralph (Elvera) Wyne of Peoria, IL. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ray Bailey. "
