Bryan Smith

Bryan J. Smith, 49, of Phoenix, AZ, formerly of Decatur, IL passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, in his home. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society. Bryan was born December 7, 1965, in Decatur, IL, the son of Donald E. Smith and Jo Edith (Jenkins) Cobane. Bryan was a graduate of Macon High School. He worked at Southwest Sweepers in Phoenix, AZ and previously worked at Tim Buk Tu, Farm & Fleet, and John's Mower Service. He enjoyed blues music and playing his guitar. Bryan was an avid billiards player, a comedian, and was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are Bryan's companion Maria Valenzuela of Phoenix, AZ; his mother Jo Edith (Jenkins) Cobane of Taylorville, IL; father Donald E. Smith of Decatur, IL; son Colton Smith of Blue Mound, IL; daughter Brittany Smith (companion Aaron) of Chicago, IL; and brother Randal E. Smith (Joe) of Phoenix, AZ. Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents. "
