Brian Kent Ritchey, 52, passed away on Saturday, February 1 ^st , 2025 in Slidell, LA.

He was born on December 18, 1972 in Decatur.

Brian is survived by his 2 daughters, Destiny Ritchey and Brittiny Ritchey, both of Decatur, IL; 6 grandchildren, Jayden, Killian, Isaac, A’Myla, Daxton, and Oaklynn; his brother Keith (wife Bridget) Ritchey of Kansas; 2 nephews, Brett and Blake Ritchey; and his “metal brothers” Mark (wife Dawn) Conway and Chad Mayberry.

He was preceded in death by his mother Agnes Ritchey-Stone; his father Alfonzo Ritchey; and his step-father Richard Stone.

Brian was a self-employed auto mechanic. He was a very passionate man within the death metal community, sharing his passion by guitar with people around the country. He played with the band Carpathian Funeral. He has a great love for cars and motorcycles, and always lived life on the edge. He was the life of every party and made sure everyone had a great time. He will be missed by many.
