Brenda Reeves

Brenda L. Reeves, 65, of Decatur, IL, lost her battle with cancer at 11:15 P.M., Saturday, October 27, 2012 in her home. Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials maybe made to A.S.P.A. or American Cancer Society. Brenda was born January 14, 1947 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Wayne and Clara Inez ( Jackson) Kelly Dunkirk. She married Robert D. "Bob" Reeves May 29, 1965, he preceded her in death. She worked at Van Law Carol's, Atlas Travel and Hickory Point Bank in A.D.M. She was in the Big Brother/Big Sister local board for a few years. She retired in 2005. Brenda enjoyed bowling in the Tuesday and Thursday night leagues, going to lunch and dinner with her large circle of friends. She played Bunco on Tuesday night and always kept busy. Brenda is survived by eleven nieces and nephews and four cousins. Special thanks to her beloved gal pals, Cindy Ford, Mitzi Pickens, Julie Novak, Sara Wolf and Doris Earl for the love, support, and care that they always gave her, no matter what! Could not ask for more love if they were blood sisters. She loved you dearly. Last but not least, special thanks to Walt Lazzarini and Dr. Velasco for all their care and love over the last few years. Preceded in death were her mother, husband of thirty nine years, three sisters, one brother and long time companion Walt Lazzarini. "
