Brad Earl Wright 60, of Decatur passed away Tuesday March 1, 2016 at Imboden Creek Living Center with family by his side.Following Brad’s wishes, a memorial service to honor his life will be held Saturday March 12th, 2016 at South Shores Christian Church. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to his church (South Shores Christian). Brintinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL is assisting the family with the arrangements.Brad was born September 17, 1955 the eldest son of H. Earl and Irma C. Wright. He was a 1974 graduate of Stephen Decatur High School and a member of the South Shores Christian Church. Brad held many positions through the years, form holding an international cosmetology license that he received in Spain, to vice president of research and development for Inventive Products, Inc., to the most recent being an outside sales representative for Car Quest. Brad has such a talent for conversation, and never seemed to meet a stranger. He had many interests including being an avid reader, tracing his family genealogy, ham radio, involvement in the Decatur Blues Society, and was the founder of the South Shores Neighborhood Watch program.Brad is survived by his daughter Sarah (Justin) Bork of Lovington, IL; son, Joshua Wright of Decatur, IL; four brothers, Scott (Laura) Wright of Independence, VA and Grant (Mary) Wright of Decatur, IL, Todd (Nancee) Wright of Fishers, IN, and Glenn (Paula) Wright of Indianapolis, IN. Brad is also survived by one sister, Sheri (Homer) O’Field of Decatur, IL; three granddaughters, Raylee Wright, Brynley Bork, and Sadie Bork; 14 nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and great friends.Brad was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, and grandparents.Brad will always be remembered for his strength and courage as he faced his brief illness. He had such a positive attitude and strong faith, and continued to be such an encouragement to others. The family would like to thanks the entire staff of Imboden Creek Living Center for their love, care, and compassion that they provided to him the last few weeks of his life. "
