Visitation: 5:00 PM on August 25, 2011 Funeral: 1:00 PM on August 26, 2011 Bonnie Lea Jones, 91, of Decatur, IL, died 5:50 A.M., Monday, August 22, 2011, at Lincoln Manor Nursing Home, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 26, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 P.M., Thursday, August 25, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Bonnie was born February 26, 1920 in Warrensburg, IL, the daughter of Morris and Lola (Oxley) Cotner. She married Virgil N. Jones in May 1940 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1960. Bonnie worked for Staubers Department Store and later for Sears in Catalog Sales. She enjoyed cooking, and her family especially loved her delicious chicken tetrazini, hot rolls, etc. There was "always another place available at Bonnie's table" for anyone, especially during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. She also enjoyed watching the "Tonight Show". She is survived by her son Phil (Janet) Jones of Decatur, IL; daughter Linda Knorr of Decatur, IL; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sisters Mary (Johnny) Tulak of Oklahoma City, OK and Betty Cycotte of NC. She was preceded in death by her daughter Karen Sue Rawlings, three brothers and one sister. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Lincoln Manor, and Dr. G. Patel and staff for their compassionate care given to Bonnie during her 15 years at Lincoln Manor. "
