Bobby J. Bone, Sr., 83, of Decatur, IL, went to his eternal home on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Lavender Ridge in Effingham, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements. Bobby was born September 1, 1931 in Bardwell, KY, the son of Everett and Betty (Coil) Bone. He married Linnie Deweese on April 19, 1951 in Haronda, Mississippi. She preceded him in death in 2009. Bobby retired in 1991 from Caterpillar, Inc., after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Ionic Lodge #312 and was a U.S. Army veteran. Bobby worshipped one God, cherished his family and loved his friends. He was a man of integrity and Linnie was his one and only love of his life. Bobby was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan and enjoyed going to the Holiday Inn for a game with Keith Boaz and "Coach". Bobby worked hard at Caterpillar but never missed playing sports with, or going to, one of his sons' ballgames. He touched many people's hearts. Family members would like to specifically thank the staff at Lavender Ridge for their loving care. He missed all his "Mall" buddies. We all loved him. He is survived by his son Bobby James (April) Bone, Jr. of Sullivan, IL; grandson Tyler Bone of Sacramento, CA; former daughter-in-law Nidia; grandchildren Aron Rasar of Decatur, Janson & Amber Haun of Metamora; great grandchildren Mackenzie, Morgan, Taylor, Grayson, Landon & Brady Haun; and several nieces and nephews.
