Billie Humphrey

Billie Ann Humphrey, 73, of Decatur, IL died 9:20 a.m., Monday, August 19, 2013, at Imboden Creek Living Center, Decatur, IL. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013, at First Christian Church in Decatur, with visitation from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to Homeward Bound. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL will be handling the arrangements. Billie was born June 13, 1940, in Logansport, IN, the daughter of Paul and Gretchen Wilhelmina (Kittle) Chance. She married John Humphrey on September 11, 1971 in Ft. Worth, TX. Billie was a member of First Christian Church. She was a 1961 graduate of Decatur Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Billie worked at St. Mary's Hospital as an R.N., and various doctor's offices. She also worked for the American Red Cross for 12 years, the Illini House for 10 years, and Portamedic Insurance Company. Billie was a member of Lambda Tau Delta Sorority. She is survived by her husband John of 41 years; son Eric (Selena) Humphrey of Osceola, IA; daughters Andrea Ramirez and Leslie (Ivan) Reveles, all of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren Brandi, Ricky, Amber, Dwight, Ivy; great grandchild Damien; and cousin Nancy Cottrell. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family wishes to extend our thanks to the nurses at St. Mary's Hospital, Imboden Creek Living Center, and First Christian Church for their loving support during this time. "
