Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 9, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, with military rites conducted by the Army Honor Guard. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family with the arrangements.Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church.Bill was born on August 23, 1923, in Argenta, IL, the son of Wayne and Elsie (Nell) Allen. He married Edna Treadaway on July 7, 1945, in London, England. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII. Bill was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. He was a member of Teamsters Local #279 and previously worked for Staley Express Trucking. His first priority was church and family; he also enjoyed fishing and camping.Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Edna of Decatur; daughters Janet Troby and husband Charles of Tower Hill; Judy Kelm and husband Ronald of Decatur; grandchildren Peggy Musgrove, William Troby, Erica Bryan, Darel Troby; great grandchildren Emily Musgrove, Will Bryan, Joshua Bryan, Ashley Troby, Shawn Troby; sister Eileen Marine and husband Donald of Carlyle.Bill was preceded in death by his parents. "
