Bill Dean Heyer, 72, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025.

Bill was born January 29, 1953, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, the son of Bill Boyd and Elora June (Taylor) Heyer. He married Diana Oyler in Decatur, IL, on November 6, 1976.
He worked as a fleet manager for ADM and when he wasn’t working, he loved fishing and spending time with his family. He faithfully supported Jordan’s Sports Involvement, celebrating every victory along the way. Bill was known for his quick wit and sense of humor, and he’ll be dearly missed by those who knew him. He had many nieces, nephews, family and friends who he brought immense joy to throughout his life.
Bill is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years; children Chad (Gina) Heyer, Erica (Chris) Hinkle; grandchildren Jordan, Layla, Eve; brother Larry (Charli) Heyer; and beloved dog Sammy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Vicky Heyer.
