CUSTOM DEATH NOTICEDecatur - Bhadra R. Daftary, 79, of Decatur, died at her residence at 10:56 AM, Saturday, April 5, 2008.Arrangements by Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded.Mrs. Daftary was born February 7, 1929 in Ahmedabad, India, the daughter of Shantilal and Shantaben C. (Mashruwala) Shah. She married Rasik D. Daftary on May 13, 1956 in Ahmedabad, India.Mrs. Daftary loved teaching, she gave educational programs on family life in India, in churches and schools across Macon County. She loved cooking, and wrote a recipe book using soy products. Mrs. Daftary was also Founding President of the International Womens Club of Decatur, Illinois and believed in close friendships.Surviving are her husband, Rasik; one son, Ashi R. Daftary and wife Janeen and their four children, Zach, Alex, Chase, and Bailey of Pittsburgh PA; one daughter, Meeta D. Evers and husband Jeff and their two children, Jeremy, and Christina of St. Louis, MO, two brothers and one sister.Mrs. Daftary was preceded in death by both of her parents; one daughter, Meena; and one brother.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
