Funeral service will be 10 AM Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be at Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials: National MS Society or Cerro Gordo Legion Auxiliary. Bev was born November 29, 1943 in Edgewood, IL, the daughter of Naman and Pauline Banning. She married James Morgan August 15, 1964 in Brownstown, IL. Bev was a beautician for 25 years and owned her own shop Bevs Salon in Cerro Gordo. Even though she had not been able to work for years because of her MS, her past customers often told her they wish that she could still do their hair. Surviving are her husband, James; daughter, Shelly Gregory and significant other Mark Randles of La Place, IL; sister, Glenda Liggett and husband Curt of Edgewood, IL; brother, Paul Banning of Funkhouser, IL; grandchildren Matt Blickensderfer, Whitney Blickensderfer, Haley Gregory; great grandchildren Brooklyn and Bentley Blickensderfer; and several nieces and nephews.Bev was preceded in death by her parents Naman and Pauline Banning.Bev would like to thank all the wonderful people she made friends with at the Hickory Point Mall, to those of you who invited us to eat out with you, attend birthday parties, anniversaries, the employees of the stores who helped her, those who leaned in close to listen when she had trouble talking, thank you. The family would especially like to thank Naomi, Maxine, Larry and Loretta, Susan and Carol, Larry and Shelby, Judy and John, Barb and Reno, Bud and Norma Jean and anyone else who helped make her days a little better.We would like to give special remembrance to Mary Kaye Gould who died a week before Bev.
