Beverly Lahme

Beverly Jean Lahme, 81, of Decatur, IL. passed away at 6:50 P.M. on May 5, 2020, in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Private family graveside services will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery Mt. Zion, IL. Bev was born on September 27, 1938 in Decatur, IL. the daughter of Jesse Leroy Vowell and Catherine Louise (Jones) Vowell. She married Carl Joseph Lahme on September 10, 1983 in Decatur, IL. Bev was a member of Parkway Church of the Nazarene, Decatur, IL. where she volunteered and was very active in the church. She worked as a sales clerk for K-Mart in Decatur, IL. for several years. Bev liked doing puzzles, crosswords, word search, reading magazines, collecting Barbie dolls, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her husband Carl Joseph Lahme of Decatur, IL., her three grandchildren: Steve Lee Davis and wife Barbara Elizabeth of Paducah, KY., Brian Keith Davis and wife Rebecca Jean of Paducah, KY., and Jessica Marie Kupiec and husband Brian Douglas of Dalton City, IL.; seven great-grandchildren: Briana, Bradley, Rilee, Chayse, Wyatt, Ivree, and Toby; and one great-great-grandchild Aiden. Bev was preceded in death by her parent and daughter Pamela Jean Davis.
