Betty L. Talkington, 90, of Decatur, IL, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016, at her residence.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL.Betty was born December 2, 1926 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Elmer and Ethel (Hadden) Williamson. She married Cleve J. Talkington on April 5, 1969 in Latham, IL. Betty enjoyed bowling, boating and spending winters in Florida.She is survived by her husband Cleve of 47 years; children Bill (Sandra) Veech of Oreana, IL, Sheree Shafer of Decatur, Candace Winholtz of Decatur, Janice Veech of Bone Lake, WI; grandchildren Eric Veech, Andrew Cook, Jenna Jordan, Brett Winholtz, Jake McCormick, Max McCormick, Lucas McCormick; and 5 great grandchildren; sister Pat Myers of Mt. Zion.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Burlan, sister Shirley Mae, granddaughter Beth Winholtz, and grandson Phillip Cook. "
