Betty Park, 89, of Mt. Zion, died Sunday, February 7, 2016, at Fair Havens Christian Home.Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation from 10-11 A.M. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to Parkway Church of the Nazarene.Betty was born December 12, 1926, in Decatur, the daughter of Lester and May (Abbott) Bronson. She married Glen C. Park in Decatur on June 18, 1950. He preceded her in death September 22, 2007. Betty attended Olivet Nazarene College and was a piano teacher. She was a member of Parkway Church of the Nazarene and played the piano and organ at church. Betty loved reading the Bible and many Christian books, and she also enjoyed having missionaries and evangelists at her home. She enjoyed gardening and serving her Lord in any capacity needed as teacher, treasurer, and a woman who believed in a prayer answering God. She loved life and shared many happy gatherings and meals with her family. Betty is survived by her children, Jim Park and wife Cindy of Mt. Zion, Ken Park and wife Amy of Morton, and Linda Blunt and husband James of Oakley; grandchildren, Jeff Park and wife Sheree of Forsyth, Stephanie Rawlings and husband Craig of Mt. Zion, Allison Park of Peoria, Joel Park of Louisville, KY, Daniel Park, Natalie Park, Molly Park, Brandon Park and Nathan Park, all of Morton, Joy Delatorre and husband Shawn of Alton, and Kent Blunt of Orlando, FL; Five great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ralph. The children of Betty Park wish to extend their thanks to the staff and caregivers at Fair Havens Christian Home for their loving and competent care of their mother. "
